This 14-day itinerary offers an immersive experience through some of Kenya’s most spectacular landscapes, from the remote wilderness of Meru to the famous wildlife spectacle of the Masai Mara, providing unforgettable moments at every destination.
With diverse habitats ranging from dense forests to open plains, Meru is home to elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and a variety of predators. The park is also famous as the setting for Born Free, the story of Elsa the lioness, raised by George and Joy Adamson.
Day 1: Nairobi to Meru National Park
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north through lush farmlands and scenic landscapes to Meru National Park, home to the famous Elsa the lioness from Born Free. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive, exploring the remote wilderness of Meru, where you can spot elephants, lions, and rhinos.

Day 2: Meru National Park
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Spend the day exploring more of Meru National Park, including a visit to the Rhino Sanctuary, where you can see both black and white rhinos in their natural habitat. After lunch, enjoy another game drive, or relax at the lodge before an evening sundowner in the bush.

Day 3: Meru to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Meru and head to Samburu National Reserve. En route, enjoy views of the rolling hills and rural landscapes. Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, where you’ll have the opportunity to see the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve
Take an early morning game drive while the animals are most active. Return for breakfast at the lodge, and later, spend the day on game drives in the park. Samburu is renowned for its large elephant herds and predator sightings, including lions and leopards. Enjoy a visit to a local Samburu village to learn about the culture and traditions of the Samburu people.

Day 5: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Sweetwaters)
After breakfast, leave Samburu and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the conservancy, visiting the Rhino Sanctuary and the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s top conservation areas and offers excellent wildlife viewing, including the Big Five.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
tart the day with a morning game drive, where you can spot rhinos, elephants, and big cats. After breakfast, you have the option of taking a walking safari or visiting the Endangered Species Boma, home to the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. After lunch, enjoy another game drive or relax at the lodge.

Day 7: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, take a game drive around the lake, famous for its flamingos and a sanctuary for black and white rhinos. Look out for leopards, Rothschild giraffes, and other wildlife as you explore the park.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, head out on a game drive to explore the vast Mara plains, home to an abundance of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and cheetahs.

Day 9-10: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend two more days in Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara offers some of the best opportunities to see the Big Five and is famous for the annual Great Migration (July-October). Spend the day exploring the park, with morning and afternoon game drives, and enjoy the stunning savannah landscapes.

Day 11: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the lake, where you can spot hippos and a variety of birdlife. You can also take a walking safari on Crescent Island, where you’ll walk alongside giraffes, zebras, and other herbivores.
Dinner and Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or lodge of your choice

Day 12: Naivasha to Nairobi
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and drive back to Nairobi, arriving around noon. Depending on your flight schedule, you can be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home, or continue with one of our other exciting safari packages.
