Samburu 3 Days & 2 Nights

Depart Nairobi early in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through Kenya’s northern highlands to Samburu National Reserve.

Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, followed by a relaxing break.

Head out for your first game drive in the reserve. Explore the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River, a magnet for wildlife and a great spot to observe elephants, buffalos, and giraffes coming to drink. Samburu is also known for its lions, leopards, and cheetahs, so keep your camera ready.

Start the day with a sunrise game drive, as early mornings are the best time to spot big cats and other predators on the prowl. Capture Samburu’s iconic landscape in the golden light of dawn.

Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by some time at leisure or optional activities.

Enjoy another game drive after lunch, focusing on the reserve’s unique wildlife, particularly the Samburu Special Five: the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx.

Optional visit to a Samburu village to learn about the Samburu people’s traditions and culture.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you make your way out of the reserve, with a last chance to spot some of Samburu’s incredible wildlife.

Depart for Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or airport.
